The video game to totem pole - by kjtgp1
This has been my labor of love for the last 5 months.
My 3D design class was given the challenge to create a totem pole with a modern twist. My love of video games stems back as far as I can remember, so it was natural for me to create a totem pole that was video game based.
Standing at 10ft tall, this totem pole tells the story of the evolution of the video game console. Using the most iconic of the systems, it starts with the oldest console and works it’s way down to the most current of the consoles. All the systems were spray painted to give them a uniform look and feel, leaving only the controller buttons to stand out. The piece is constructed in two pieces, consisting of one 7ft pole and another 3foot pole. These poles are then screwed together to form the finished piece.
I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I did creating it. And if you have any comments/questions please feel free drop them in my ask box, I’d be happy to hear from you. :)

Dog Leash Gun created by Art Lebedev
Probably an April Fool’s joke, as the article was released on 4/1/11, but I might actually buy this, if only to pretend I’m forcing my dog to walk by gunpoint. And dont even think about crapping in the neighbor’s yard, Cujo!
